800.000 copies in the world (primarily
in Europe and in Japan), said to me, after having heard my song « Mais si mes mains »: « You should send it at Sinatra. He would make an international standard of it. » Since, Frank Sinatra went
to another world. And, anyway, I wanted
to sing this song in English by myself. Several people tried to write me
a text. I request forgiveness from
those who I made work for nothing.Finally, I retained the idee of an American girl living in Belgium, Evie
Lewinson, who was so invaluable to me for her advices during the recording
sessions.

Salvatore Adamo, qui a vendu plus de 800.000 disques dans
le monde (essentiellement en Europe et au Japon), m'a dit, après avoir entendu
« Mais si mes mains » : « Tu devrais l’envoyer chez
Sinatra. Il en ferait un standard international. » Depuis, Frank Sinatra n’est plus de ce monde. Et, de toute
façon, cette chanson, j’avais envie de la chanter moi-même en anglais.
Plusieurs personnes ont essayé de me faire un texte. Je demande pardon à celles
que j’ai fait travailler pour rien. Finalement, j’ai retenu celui d’une
Américaine de Belgique, Evie Lewinson, qui m’a également été précieuse
pour ses conseils, en studio, pendant l’enregistrement de mes chansons.
